Get to know God
Getting to know God starts with realizing your existence is beyond what meets the eye. You have value, you have purpose, and you are far greater than what you could have ever thought yourself to be. God is the only one who can make this known to you!
We Belong To CHRIST!!!
Romans 8:15 - New Living Translation (NLT)
15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”
Galatians 4:6 - New Living Translation (NLT)
6 And because we[a] are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.”
Salvation is a daily walk. We must make up our minds to Believe and Trust God every step of the way! Faith is the key.
KEEP the FAITH!!!!
Hebrews 11:1-3 - New Living Translation (NLT)
1 Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.
2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
3 By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.
KEEP the FAITH!!!!
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 - New Living Translation (NLT)
23 Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
24 God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.
We must stand and see the promises of God come forth fully in our Lives!!!
We are challenged to fight the good fight, to finish the course, to keep the faith.
I took my troubles to the LORD; I cried out to him, and he answered my prayer.” Psalm 120:1 NLT
Healthy relationships are so important in the Body of Christ. There’s power in agreement and healthy relationships in God really help get things done.
I Am My Brother’s Keeper
The church seems to have become desensitized to the things happening in the world around us. We have become distant to the needs of our brothers and sisters who are suffering in the earth. This does not just pertain to faraway places like Indonesia or India, Africa or even Haiti, but even to the violence and killings or even hungry families in our own communities.
We are fine as long as it doesn’t directly impact our homes and/or families. But the bible admonishes us in Hebrews 13:1 to let brotherly love continue. In other words, we’ve got to keep loving each other as brothers and sisters. We can’t stop there though. Verse 2 further instructs us to be mindful how we treat strangers because we never know who we are entertaining. Some have entertained ANGELS without even knowing it!! And last, but certainly not least, verse 3 reminds us that we must remember those in prison, even as if we were there ourselves. AND we must also remember those who suffer adversity as if we are feeling their pain in our own bodies. That’s simply loving our neighbors as we love ourselves.
Beloved, this means that we are indeed our brother’s keeper. Can your brother count on you today?!!
- Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.
- Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!
- Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.
